“Daybreak” Bronze Sculpture by Gilbert Franklin

This sculpture “Daybreak” is an outstanding bold bronze sculpture by the artist Gilbert Franklin (1919-2004) produced in 1968. It is the original maquette for Franklin’s monomental bronze siteted in the sculpture gardens of the Rohde Island School of Design, Providence, RI. This sculpture is mounted on it’s original travertine base that swivels 360 degrees while sitting on the artist designed original wooden pedestal. Thus allowing it to be viewed from all angles.
