Donald Deskey collaborated with Edward Durell Stone on the Richard Mandel house as well as Radio City Music Hall the previous year.. All the interiors including this illuminated mirror were designed by Donald Deskey. Many of the furnishings were one of a kind pieces including this mirror. Fortune Magazine featured the Mandel House in 1935. The lower part of the mirror has tubular fittings that hold a lighted milk glass tube. The mirror is supported buy a thin chrome frame. The depth of the mirror is adjustable.
