John Vassos Art Deco Electrically Amplified Piano 1939

This electrically amplified piano, designed by John Vassos, was a collaboration between RCA and Story and Clark. It was introduced at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in the RCA Building. The case was designed by the famous American industrial designer, John Vassos. The original bench is included. This piano has been fully serviced. In 1934, even before he was hired by RCA, Fortune Magazine named John Vassos as one of the top 10 American Industrial Designers. Examples of his work are included in 20th Century Design collections of several museums.
