This industrial 1912 for a library that was given to the city of Traverse City, MI by Andrew Carnegie. This wonderful free standing bookshelf is incredibly well made and sturdy. In suite, it once helped to support the mezzanine of the library. The unit has been stripped and coated in clear satin automotive lacquer. There are 12 adjustable shelves, 7″ x 35″ that can be used on either side of the unit. The detailing is fantastic, reminiscent of an old steel bridge.
