Sterling Cocktail Set by Bent Knudsen

This cocktail set consists of a shaker and four cups. It was made by Bent Knudsen in the 1960’s. The straight forward modernist form of this set is very elegant. Each piece is signed on the underside “Handmade, Sterling, Denmark and Bent K. The cups are marked with the design number 1006 and the shaker is marked 1005. Bent Knudsen and his wife Anni started their sliversmithy in 1956. Earlier, starting in 1946, Bent had worked in Hans Hansen’s smithy in Kolding. He was trained as a silversmith at C.M. Cohr’s in Fredericia where the work was based on craftsmanship. Eventually he established his own workshop where he created jewelry in a simple and clear style, often together with his wife, Anni.
