Original 1934 Art Deco shelving unit designed by Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller. Part of the East Indial Laurel Wood series, this wonderful shelving unit represents some of the best of Gilbert Rohde’s cabinet designs. The beautifully planned veneer patterns showcase the variants in the East Indian Laurel wood. Rohde has taken what was once a simple box and transformed it into a beautiful piece of furniture. This piece has been refinished in high gloss hand polished lacquer. This shelving unit can be used as a stand alone piece or in combination with other cabinets and shelving from the series to create a wall unit. We have  secretary unit available also.
